Description Of Tuition Service
Basically, I am very interested on tutoring and lecturing the students. Teaching the students for their basic understanding to develop a strong foundation would be one of my major objectives as my tutoring task. In addition, I have great passion on helping the students to cope with their difficult subjects by using appropriate and easy techniques so that the students can solve the problems in an efficient way for gaining high scores. Besides that, positive attitude and full of patient on conveying the messages to the students are a necessity for me. Also, I believe I have variety communication skills to develop a proper channel to be in touch with different kind of students who having variety of characteristics. Last but not least, I have conducted home tuition at least a year.
Currently, I am pursuing my PhD in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in the research field of Electrical Machines and Drives. I will attend my convocation on April this year in USM by obtaining my M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Power Systems and Energy Conversion. I also graduated from USM in where I obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical Engineering. At the same time, I managed to maintain a good CGPA of Second Upper Class (3.55) throughout my studies. In short, my previous academic backgrounds are as: STPM (4As in SMK Heng Ee, Penang) and SPM (6As, 4Bs in SMK Heng Ee, Penang). Besides that, I have obtained many awards such as Dean List awards during my undergraduate courses, Community Service achievements awards as well as National Physics Contest & Debate Contest with Distinction and etc. Moreover, I have also participating many activities in the past few years which consist of Society of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Community Service Program, Little Grass Music, Mini Temasya Tahunan, Lantern Festival, Engineering Festival, Sixth Form Society, Board of Librarian, Computer Club, LEO Club and Kadet Bomba dan Penyelamat.
After knowing the students background, I will figure out the methods that suitable for the students on the techniques of fast absorbing the academic materials, for instance, graphical method, mind-mapping method, abbreviation method, point-form highlighting method, story-line method or illustration graphical memorizing method. Then, tutoring will be conducted chapter by chapter, special highlight the important points, thereafter, applying their understanding of the knowledge on exercises and problem solving for better comprehension. Instant explanation and description will be carried out once problems met by the students. As a result, I believe the students could cope with diversity of questions.
